Arsenal fans have banded together following Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card against Wolves at the weekend and appealed to the European Court of Justice to overturn the decision.
The move comes after other avenues such as making unhinged social media posts and sending death threats to the referee responsible, Michael Oliver, proved fruitless.
“We just want justice, fam,” said a spokesperson for Arsenal Fans for Justice (AFJ). “This is the dodgiest decision since the last red card against us. No other team has ever suffered a controversial VAR decision like this and it’s costing us the league, bro.”
Lewis-Skelly’s red is the fourth time an Arsenal player has been dismissed this season, a tally which AFJ sees as part of a wider conspiracy against their team.
“Each week they find new ways to fuck us over, blud,” said the spokesperson. “I can’t even watch anymore. What’s next? Sending off Havertz for breathing on a defender? It’s well crooked.”
AFJ also had harsh words for Arsenal’s owners for failing to act in the transfer market.
“The window’s closing soon, fam, and we need a striker. How are Mikel and the boys supposed to compete when he’s not backed? Only £105m spent last summer, it’s just not on, blud.”
The European Court of Justice has rejected AFJ’s petition on the grounds that the UK is no longer part of the European Union. It is understood that AFJ are now preparing death threats for senior EU officials.
